The ballistic separators perform the classification of the waste into three fractions: light / flat, heavy / rolling and fine. This separation occurs because of the different shapes, densities and sizes of the materials being processed. These equipment have two crankshafts, arranged transversely to the longitudinal screens that make up the sorting ramp. These crankshafts allow that by the ballistic movement, the fed waste moves upwards or downwards, depending on their physical characteristics.
